Gwyl Gorau Gogledd Cymru – North Wales Choir Festival – 2026 – Winners!

Two years ago, we entered the Open category and came a respectable 3rd, but more importantly, it inspired the organisers to introduce a new category for Signing Choirs!

This year, we entered the Corau Arwyddo – the Signing Category, kindly sponsored by Conwy Arts Trust.

Our three songs were along the theme of Musicals, and we signed to Abba’s Mama Mia, Bring Him Home from Les Misérables, and finished with Joyful, Joyful, from Sister Act II.

Our interpretation was true to British Sign Language in terms of translation and more importantly interpretation of the meaning of the lyrics, and this was picked out by the judges who said, “The connection between the music and the way it was communicated was absolutely stunning.”  Please scroll down for the full Judges’ Feedback.
